1990 Porsche 911 964 Carrera 2 Coupe Linen Interior / Red piping - leather restoration.
This lovely 1990 964 Carrera required its original leather to be restored. After years of use the linen colourant had almost totally work away in parts.
A full interior restoration was to be under taken using the professional leather restoration process. This involves chemically stripping off the leathers original coatings. The leather is then chemically strengthened and filled where required, before applying 4 very fine layers of Linen leather colourant and then 4 fine layers of a clear satin sealant. This provides the hard wearing and water proof layer.
The process was repeated for the red piping on the seat.
The end result was a 964 looking how it did in the 1990s - glorious.
